Images of Yellowstone - Fine Photography

This was taken on a late spring (early June) morning on the trail to Osprey Falls as it passes through Swan Lake Flats. While it's tempting to think that cloudy days make for flat lighting for landscapes, the fact is that when there are occassional shafts of sunlight the result can be a picture with vivid contrasts and colors. This picture was taken using a medium format camera and Velvia 50. Image size is 12.5" x 17.2" on a 16" x 20" mat and backer.
