Images of Yellowstone - Fine Photography

There is a large hill next to the trail that runs to the south of Grand Prismatic spring (and eventually to Fairy Falls). If you scramble up this hill (not for the faint of heart!) you can get a very nice view of Grand Prismatic spring from on high void of trees due to the fires of 1988 that burned this area. This picture was taken from high on the hill using a telephoto to isolate some of the wonderful patterns and colors on the eastern side of the spring. The image captures the range of colors from the center Image size is 11" x 16.3" on a 16" x 20" mat and backer.
